Hi everyone,
I hope all is well and that the first week back to school has been a smooth one for you all! It was great seeing the seniors back on campus – lots of energy, excitement, and plenty of smiles and laughter – so the first week back felt good all around. We kicked off the year on Tuesday with yearbook photos, time in Advisory, some classes, and, of course, the traditional Senior Rock painting up by the Senior Parking Lot – and with the painting of the Rock, the school year truly felt, and is, “underway”!
We also had a Class meeting on Tuesday in which I reminded the seniors that they are going to have a great year – they’ll have a ton of work to complete, college applications to submit, co-curricular commitments to meet, etc – and that in the midst of all of this, they’ll find joy and laughter, too. And lots of support – from us, and, most importantly, from each other as they walk through this fall in particular. So, in short, the energy felt positive this week, and I’m looking forward to carrying this momentum into the coming weeks as we start the school year off well.
Of note, we are planning on a field trip for Friday, September 22 – we’ll be heading up to Warwick, NY for a morning of apple picking – we plan to be back to campus by early afternoon. This always proves to be a favorite trip and memory for the seniors, so we’re looking forward to getting away from school for a change of pace and some fresh air out on the farm.
Thank you for all the support and well-wishes to us here as we kick off ’23-’24 – it’s going to be a great year! As always, reach out with any questions.
Take care, enjoy the weekend, and see you around campus,
