May is almost over, as is the school year, but there are just a few things left for us to do. Here are some notes to get us up to date and ready for the end of school next week.

Congratulations to our 24-25 Class Reps

On May 14, the class gathered to hear speeches from fifteen (15) of their classmates and vote for those whom they would like to represent them in the coming academic year. Congratulations to our new and returning class representatives for 24-25.

Parent Forum on May 23

Thank you to all who came out to our Spring Parent Forum last Thursday. Ms. Lalli and I responded to pre-submitted questions and answered other questions that arose. Here is a brief list of topics which were discussed:

  • The Interim Head search
  • Security concerns, recent and ongoing
  • Class bonding, community building, and increasing kindness
  • Phone use during the academic day
  • The advisory program
  • Communication and transitions when a teacher leaves
  • Course registration and the placement process
  • Class trip and end of the year

I am sure that we will continue to explore these topics in the future, but if you have further questions or concerns, listed here or otherwise, please let me know so we can connect.

Class Trip on June 6

Next Thursday, all upper school students will be going on trips with their entire class to end their year together with a fun activity. Our class will be going to SkyZone in Allendale, NJ. That day, we will enjoy treats in the morning on campus before loading the buses to SkyZone. After our jump session, we will return for a pizza lunch and activities in the afternoon, and end with treats from an ice cream truck brought to campus by Chef Alex! All of this fun will take place during school hours, so students should take their regular buses or arrive and be picked up at normal times. If you would like to have your child participate, please complete this waiver by Wednesday, June 5. The form is quick and completed all on line. No student will be able to go to SkyZone without a signed waiver.

June Calendar

June 2 – Commencement, 10am

June 5 – End of Year Party and Yearbook Distribution

June 6 – Class Trips

June 7 – Last Day of School, ending at 1:30pm

June 14 – Grades released to families

We have come a long way this year as a group, and I thank you for your support and patience. I look forward to ending the year on a high note, a restful summer break, and an amazing Sophomore year together.
