Good evening,
As this day comes to a close, I wanted to reach out to check in and share a bit about today’s return to campus. In an effort to both provide opportunities to share information and to gather and reflect together, US students met as a whole first thing this morning, in advisory or affinity groups, then as a class before starting the academic day. Throughout the day, students were met where they were and given the grace and space to process their feelings, and faculty and staff remained available and open for whatever conversations needed to happen, in or out of class. Today’s return to campus and modified schedule was a welcome return to “normalcy” for some and remained a challenge for others, but we are confident that our faculty and staff will continue to support all of our students in the days ahead, regardless of their needs.
I know that some of you have questions about how the week ahead will look in terms of assessments and our scheduling timeline. Please know that the Upper School team will be working hard in the coming days to work out those details and communicate them to you. Our primary concern today and tomorrow is supporting our students and finding ways to help them feel good about being back at school.
