As we head off for winter break, I wanted to share my thanks to everyone for welcoming me to the D-E community. The class continues to acclimate to the upper school experience, and I am so pleased to be their “Mama Bear” and supporter throughout the experience. With each passing month and activity, we are really beginning to gel and define ourselves as a class. Our final activity of the year, gingerbread train building in advisories, was this past Wednesday.
Our creativity and resilience really showed in these trains, and a winner will be awarded the 2027 Annual Gingerbread Cup trophy on our return in January. Our fabulous class representatives wanted to create a tradition of our own, so the winning advisory will keep the cup for the year and it will be up for grabs again next December. How fun!
