Dear US Families,
Next week, we will begin to sell tickets for our Junior-Senior Prom at Maritime Park, Jersey City, New Jersey! It’s an important rite of passage for high school students. The prom will take place on May 19, 2023. Tickets will cost $140 this year and sales begin on Monday through the end of the month. We want all D-E students who want to to be able to go to prom. Financial assistance is available for students whose families may struggle with the cost of the ticket. Students should approach me in person or via email with this request. I will handle any requests for assistance with confidentiality and sensitivity.
There will be a pre-prom organized by the Parents’ Association in anticipation of this event. This will be an opportunity for families to gather with their kids by grade to take pictures together in a festive environment. Transportation will then be provided to the prom from there. The Junior pre-prom will be held here on D-E’s campus. The senior pre-prom will take place at the Knickerbocker Country Club in Tenafly, New Jersey. More information about the pre-prom will be sent by the Parents’ Association.
Separately, I also want to remind you all that the Spring Carnival is approaching and we hope to see you there! It will be taking place on April 23 rain or shine. Please let us know if you plan to attend (which we hope you will) by submitting an RSVP here by next Friday, April 21. We look forward to this community-wide event!
